FAQ
AI voice assistant FAQ
Yanita is an AI voice assistant for your website: visitors ask questions by talking or typing, in English or Turkish, and the assistant answers only from the company information you give it, then collects the contact details of anyone who wants a call back. It installs with a WordPress plugin or one line of code and is free during early access.

General
What is Yanita?
Yanita is an AI voice assistant that lives on your website. A button appears in the corner of your site; a visitor clicks it and starts talking, and the assistant instantly answers questions about your services, prices, opening hours and policies using the information you provide.
Who is it for?
Small and medium businesses that keep getting the same questions from website visitors: clinics, real estate agencies, hotels, restaurants, law and consulting firms, and online stores. It suits any business that wants to greet after-hours visitors and stop losing leads.
What is the difference between a voice assistant and a chatbot?
A classic chatbot only types. Yanita talks and types: visitors speak naturally into their microphone and hear a spoken reply, or switch to typing in the same window. On a phone, talking is usually faster than typing.
Which AI model does it use?
Voice conversations run on Gemini Live, Google’s real-time voice model. The assistant replies as soon as the visitor finishes speaking and stops to listen when interrupted.
Does it answer phone calls or WhatsApp messages?
No. Yanita currently talks only with visitors on your website; it does not connect to a phone line or WhatsApp.
Setup
How do I add a voice assistant to my website?
There are three ways: on WordPress, install the Yanita plugin and click “Connect to Yanita”; on any other site, paste the one-line script from your panel; or share your assistant’s public link without a website at all. You can also file an install request in the panel and we will set it up for you.
Is there a WordPress plugin?
Yes. You download the plugin from your panel; its “Connect” button links your site to your account without copying any keys. You can change the button’s look from WP Admin with a live preview and see new leads as a badge in the menu. Plugin updates arrive automatically.
Does it work on websites that are not WordPress?
Yes. It works on any site that lets you add custom HTML or code: add the one-line script from your panel to your site’s template.
Do I need a developer, and how long does setup take?
No developer needed. When you create an assistant you enter your website address; Yanita reads your site, drafts your company information and asks a few questions to fill the gaps. Review the draft, connect the plugin, and the assistant is live within minutes.
Will it slow down my website?
No. The button is a small script of about 11 KB that loads after the page. The voice engine downloads only when a visitor starts a conversation.
Can I change the button’s look and the assistant’s voice?
Yes. Choose the button’s position (bottom right or left), size, shape (circle or labelled pill), colours and label text. Pick one of 8 voices and write your own greeting. You can also place the button inside a page instead of the corner.
Can someone else use my assistant on their site?
No. The assistant works only on the domains you allow in the panel (and their subdomains). If someone copies your code to another site, calls will not start and your minutes are not used.
Knowledge and answers
Where does the assistant learn about my company?
From the company information you write in the panel. We draft it from your website automatically; you can edit your services, prices, address, opening hours and FAQs at any time. Changes reach new conversations within a minute.
Will the assistant make things up about my company?
It is instructed to answer only from the knowledge you give it. When something isn’t there, it says it doesn’t know and offers to take the visitor’s contact details so you can answer yourself.
Can I control how the assistant talks?
Yes. Your company information can include instructions: how to address visitors, the tone to use, set answers to specific questions, or when to ask for contact details. The assistant follows them in both languages.
Which languages does it speak?
English and Turkish. It starts in your site’s language and follows the visitor if they switch. The panel and the WordPress plugin are available in both languages too.
What can visitors do without a microphone?
They can type. The conversation window shows both sides as text, visitors can type their questions, and the assistant replies the same way.
Leads and reports
Can it collect visitors’ contact details?
Yes. When a visitor wants you to get back to them, the assistant asks for their name, email or phone number and message, reads the details back to confirm, and saves them. Leads are listed in your panel, and on WordPress the number of new leads shows in the admin menu.
Can it book appointments?
It does not write to your calendar. It collects booking requests: the visitor’s name, contact details and preferred time, so you can confirm the appointment yourself.
Can I see conversations and transcripts?
The panel shows the number of calls, minutes used and calls happening right now. If you turn on transcript saving, you can read what each visitor asked and how the assistant answered, which helps you fill gaps in your company information.
Pricing and limits
Is it really free?
Yes, for the first 50 businesses during early access: each assistant gets 300 conversation minutes a month. No credit card is needed to start.
When do paid plans start, and what will they cost?
Starter, Pro and Business plans are coming soon; you can see the planned prices on the pricing page. Nothing is billed today, and we will let you know before anything changes.
What happens when my monthly minutes run out?
A call in progress is never cut off. New calls cannot start for the rest of that month, and minutes reset with the new month. Write to us if you need more minutes.
How long can one conversation last?
Up to 10 minutes per conversation; when time is up, the assistant says goodbye and ends the call. If nobody speaks for two minutes the call ends on its own, so a forgotten browser tab doesn’t use up your minutes.
Privacy and security
Are conversations recorded?
Yanita does not store audio recordings. You choose whether text transcripts are saved; when they are off, only basic details such as call length are kept. Contact details a visitor chooses to leave are always saved so you can reach them.
What should I consider for GDPR and data privacy?
Transcripts and leads are visible only in your own account. Audio is streamed in real time to Google Gemini to generate replies. We recommend mentioning the voice assistant and the data it collects in your site’s privacy notice, and you can turn transcript saving off if you don’t need it.
Didn’t find your answer?
Write to us and we will reply the same day. Or create your assistant for free and try it yourself.
